If you’re reading this post, it means I’ve somehow managed learning web development, graphic design, audio engineering, and online marketing in a span of 2 weeks. Impressive, right?!
Ok, I don’t really know squat about any of those things. However, the GoogleFu is strong with this one. Find out how this project got started after the jump…
When I first had the idea to start this podcast project, I’m not sure I really understood the amount of work that was going to go into it. Me and my dad had already been having these deep conversations over beers for awhile now, so it seemed like a no-brainer to stick a mic in our faces and start recording. Once I started really trying to put this together, it became clear that I was going to have my hands full. Over the next few days, I’ll post up more blog entries detailing everything that led up to us recording our first episode this past weekend. I wouldn’t have gotten this far if it weren’t for several podcasters sharing their stories, so I’m going to do my best to give back to the community that was so helpful to me.
For now, I just want you all to know how super excited I am about this show. During our first recording sessions, my Dad and I had so much to talk about that we wound up doing a two-parter to kick off the podcast launch. He even texted me with stuff he wanted to revisit a couple hours after I left his house. We’re both committed to delivering you guys a quality show that keeps the audience engaged. Our first episode had a very philosophical tone to it, which I admit may not be for everyone, but on my end it was an extremely interesting conversation to have and I think you all will like it. And don’t worry, there’ll be tons of light hearted moments on the show as well. This week it’s philosophy, next week could be fart jokes and stoner movies. That’s the great thing about our conversations, you never know where it’s gonna go.
Episode 1 Part 1 should be uploading sometime this week and we’ll keep em coming at you weekly. Thanks for taking this ride with us and I hope you all enjoy it as much as we do.
